	Swanage Railway's Complete Railway Experiences are an opportunity to get up close and personal with one of our Steam or Diesel engines.
	Footplate Experience Dates
	Experience what it is like to be on the footplate of a historic steam locomotive, the sounds the smells, the heat and the work of two people as a team to drive the engine. Our Footplate Experience allows you to enjoy a round trip on the Swanage Railway on one of our locomotives alongside the crew and learn about some of the many different tasks involved. 	Taster Experience Dates
	This is a chance to savour the thrill of driving and firing a steam locomotive with a short passenger train under the close supervision of a qualified Swanage Railway crew. Based at Swanage station the experience will last approximately 90 minutes. Check available dates >>
